The Home Energy and Carbon Footprint Analyzer offers a number of tools to help you identify areas of your home that use the most energy and ways to break your not-so-favorable usage habits. You start by filling out a few general questions regarding your home, such as the age, square footage and number of occupants. Once the information is entered, the analyzer will calculate the consumption and separate the information into usage categories. There is also a "Ways to Save" section that provides energy saving tips based on your usage results. This calculator even goes a step further to translate your monthly energy consumption into carbon footprint components such as acres of trees, cars on the road and barrels of oil.

2010 is said to be the year of three dimensions for the home entertainment industry. Leading companies such as Samsung, Sony, LG and Panasonic are or shortly will be offering 3-D televisions during the upcoming year.But televisions aren’t the only products getting in on the fun. The word is that many companies are in the midst of transferring capabilities to movies, gaming and even computers.
Three dimensional footage is shot using several cameras. The captured images are then combined to produce a result that is truly extraordinary. As impressive as is it, three dimensional viewing capability will not come at much higher price than a standard television. Compared to a similar model, a 3-D TV would will cost approximately $200-$400 more and will be available at any major home entertainment retailer.
According to Scott Adams, a representative of EMC Security Home Entertainment Division, " Right now, 3-D TV is just a perk, but once people see it, they won't be able to live without it."
